de Silva Theater and Enzo Jannacci Square
The new Roberto de Silva Theater is part of a large urban regeneration project.
In front of the theater, the new square is taking shape: more than 1,200 square meters that will not only be the entrance to the theater, but also a place to gather and meet and, why not, a stage for outdoor performances.
The architectural design develops the spaces in an innovative way, where the footprint of the classical theater merges with the contemporary industrial matrix to accommodate multiple activities.
The glass facade marks the opening to the city, becoming at night a veritable lantern that radiates light outward.
The exterior, with golden metal panels, vibrates with light, recalling the wind instruments of the orchestra.
With an audience ranging from 450 to 580 people, the hall welcomes the spectator as if inside a musical instrument, a sound box of a large viola.
The new facility is designed with state-of-the-art environmental and energy technology equipment.
An ideal continuation of the Theater, the new Enzo Jannacci Square echoes the curved lines that distinguish the interior architecture of the theater's hall, like a symphony that comes out and spreads through the city.
