The Stone Slippers
There are so many objects in the museum: some are carved, some are painted in paintings, many we still use today while some are so curious that we wouldn't really know how to use them! And the artists then put a lot of imagination into depicting them! We choose an object we like and then in the workshop we will turn it into... a work of art!"

Did you know that you can discover faraway worlds even while staying in the city? Let's all go on an adventurous and exciting trip to the Civic Museums together: we will visit exotic places, faraway cultures and unspoiled nature, thanks to the precious accounts of the painters who have portrayed them for us. And that's not all: in the workshop we will be able to illustrate our very own "carnet de vojage" to remember this special adventure.

"Once upon a time, in a painting...": beyond a frame we can discover fantastic and enchanted landscapes, curious characters, funny little animals that have stories to tell. In this narrative journey, the paintings become the stages of a story constructed and drawn together using the works as "illustrations" of a different tale each time.

When we visit a museum, we are used to using mostly our eyesight...and when this cannot be used? Let's discover together how to explore the City Museums with our other senses, getting help from special objects that will suggest different ways to learn about the works in the collection and a story that will accompany us room by room! After the sensory exploration, let's make a small memento of our experience using many different materials!

On the occasion of World Bee Day on May 20, we will be inspired by the landscapes painted in the museum to create in the workshop a magnificent flower meadow where everyone can make their own bee fly, made with many recycled materials and a thousand colors!

The paintings in the museum tell us so many stories, some fascinating and unbelievable, others everyday; sometimes they are also evidence of mysterious facts... By learning to pick up all the clues that the artist left us, will you be able to reconstruct what happened? Spirit of observation, but also a lot of imagination, are the ingredients we will need to solve a mysterious but fun "museum clue." And, at the end, we will all go to the workshop to make a mystery work!

Earth Day is celebrated on April 22: we, too, can celebrate our beautiful planet here at the museum and send a message for its well-being! Drawing Art as a Family / Special Family Lab Abbonamento Musei
On the occasion of Drawing Art, the special event promoted by Abbonamento Musei Lombardia, dedicated to children and families to discover the area's museums through drawing and creativity, the museum is organizing a special Family Lab. We will go together in the museum to discover the most beautiful works depicting natural elements: we will draw live leaves, flowers, animals and fruits "hidden" in the works of art, and then in the teaching room we can let our imaginations run wild and color our own fantastic creatures!

The merry-go-round in Paris
Anselmo Bucci, the famous painter, lived in Paris for a long time: one of his works on display in the exhibition depicts a beautiful Parisian square with lots of curious details.
With our guides we will go and look closely at the work to discover all its details: in the workshop we will then go and create our very own square and merry-go-round, with horses or cars or... spaceships!
