Almost in the middle of the Alpine arc, Val Masino, having left the flat Valtellina, climbs in a northerly direction toward the Swiss border. We are in the middle of the purely mountainous portion of Lombardy, in Valtellina, in the Province of Sondrio.

Already at low altitude, the wilderness that characterizes Val Masino is within reach of every visitor. The area around the villages at the bottom of the valley lends itself to light walks and easy hikes suitable even for the elderly and children.
