In a natural environment rich in scientific references, the shelter Gerli-Porro, thanks to
its 80 beds and excellent cuisine, is proposed as a base for pleasant stays, courses and internships of a mountaineering and scientific nature. Open on weekends from 25th April to the end of May and in October and every day from June to the end of September.
AS IT IS REACHED: from Chiareggio on a comfortable mule track in less than 1 hour, with a difference in level of 350 m. Suitable itinerary for families. Stage of the Alta Via della Valmalenco and reference point for the Vittorio Sella glaciological path that allows to touch the Ventina glacier front, along the path of botanical interest of the larice Millenario and for the via ferrata to Torrione Porro.
