Isola Sports Center di San Giuseppe

Valmalenco is the ideal destination fro many cross-country skiers, allured by the majestic nature of high Valmalenco and in particular San Giuseppe.
The tracks of the Centro Sportivo Isola Valmalenco in San Giuseppe/Sabbionaccio are about 15 km long, they cross snowclad woods and pastures and live up to the expectations of expert skiers thanks to technically advanced tracks and of beginners, thanks to easy paths.

The Centro Sportivo offers several services:

• cafè-bar, sandwiches, cold dishes or local cold cuts and cheeses, drinks, aperitifs or glass of wine you can relax in the solarium
• male and female changing/locker rooms, whit shower
• country-ski equipment or ER-MTB rental 
• ski maintenance, repair, cleaning and waxing performed by professionals. 
   

The Isola sports center isn't only dedicated to cross-country skiing, but is also a great place for families. Children can enjoy the snow by practicing sledding, snow tubing or try skiing for the first time!

The sports center is the starting point of several hikes, as the one leading to Lagazzuolo, Sentiero dei Cervi, Sentiero Rusca, Chiareggio and to many other wonderful destinations...

Nordic Walking is a sport of growing interest: born in Scandinavia, it is performed with special walking poles. This tecnique is extremely beneficial for one's health as it involves 96% of the muscles of our body. It's possibile to book individual or group lessons.
