Open from the end of April (for ski mountaineering) until the end of October
AS IT IS REACHED: The hut is easily reachable from Chiareggio in less than 1 hour. The trail rises gently through a fir and larch wood along a wide mule track.
After around thirty minutes the trail reaches the entrance of Val Ventina: a couple of hairpin turns lead to a sunny rocky slope, from where hikers can catch the first glimpses of the Gerli shelter, which is only 3 minutes away from the Ventina shelter.
Alpe Ventina can also be reached starting from Laresin (a village near Forbesina) by following a steep path. Time: 2.30 hrs.
