Valtellina Wine Trail 2026

One of the most anticipated sporting events of the year is back in Valtellina and among the most popular for running enthusiasts: the Valtellina Wine Trail, the spectacular running race that passes through the vineyards, wineries, ancient villages and palaces of Valtellina before arriving on the final catwalk in the elegant center of Sondrio.
The Valtellina Wine Trail passes cultural sites such as the Basilica of the Madonna in Tirano, the Torre de li Beli Miri and the Palazzo Besta in Teglio, the Santa Casa in Tresivio and the Castel Grumello in Montagna in Valtellina.

It is possible to choose from three routes:

SASSELLA TRAIL
Departure: Castione Andevenno
Length: 13 km
Positive elevation gain of 550 m
Pickups: 1300

HALF TRAIL
Departure: Chiuro
Length: 21 km
Positive elevation gain of 900 m 
Numbers: 1200

TRAIL
Departure: Tirano
Length: 42 km
Positive elevation gain of 1750 m 
Numbers: 1000

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2026: Mini Wine Trail 

Dedicated to children aged 6 to 17 years with meeting scheduled at 8:00 in Piazza Garibaldi in Sondrio and start of the first race at 9:00

Beginners 5 M/F (2018/2019/2020) 400m - Course A
Beginners 8 M/F (2016/2017) 400m - Course A
Beginners 10 M/F (2014/2015) 800m - Course A x 2 laps
Boys M/F (2013/2012) 1200m - Course B
Cadets M/F (2010/2011) 2400m - Course B x 2 laps
Students M/F (2008/2009) 2800m - Course A + Course B x 2 laps
