Lake Como Landscape Museum
Seat of the museum is Villa Mainona, former residence of the Mainoni family, built between 1670 and 1672.
The museum includes a collection of antique printsof Lake Como dated from the 16th to the 19th century and a collection of historical photographs taken between the second half of the 19th centurya nd the early 20th century.
The images offer a fascinating glimpse into the landscape of the Lario through illustrations of the main villages, locations and most famous villas of the lake.
The museum also features a multimedia system presenting the cultural and environmental heritage of the area, with mappps and historical images; a special section is dedicated to the cinema and the movies on Lake Como.
Opening hours
The museum is open from Easter until the end of October, from Thursday to Sunday, from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00.
