The Christmas Paths in Varzi 2025
A day of magic in the medieval village
On Sunday, 14 December 2025, Varzi - one of the most charming villages in the Oltrepò Pavese - transforms once again into an enchanting Christmas setting thanks to Le Vie del Natale, the event that every year attracts visitors from across the province and beyond. From 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the historic centre will be filled with lights, scents and traditions that make this celebration one of the most awaited of the season.
Markets, crafts and flavours of the territory
The streets of the village will host stalls featuring handmade crafts, gift ideas, local products and street food. A perfect opportunity to discover local excellences, find original presents and embrace the true Christmas spirit surrounded by Varzi’s historical charm.
Music, workshops and activities for all ages
The event will be enlivened by itinerant music, face painting, themed workshops, exhibitions and the opening of the village’s historic cellars. A programme designed to engage both adults and children, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Guided tours and special openings of symbolic landmarks
Visitors can join guided tours of the Malaspina Tower, also known as the Witch Tower, and the historic centre of Varzi. This edition will also feature a special opening of the Malaspina Castle and the village’s main churches—an unmissable chance to explore architectural and historical treasures.
Special moments and solidarity initiatives
From 11:00 a.m., the Pro Loco will welcome guests with traditional dishes and authentic flavours.
At 3:00 p.m., Santa Claus will descend from the Malaspina Tower in an emotional charity event in support of the SOV organised with BuildRock.
Throughout the day, Santa’s House will be open for children to deliver their letters. At 4:00 p.m., Santa Claus will return to his little house to hand out gifts to the kids.
Magic as night falls
The festivities will continue into the evening with more surprises and even more enchanting atmospheres, making Varzi the perfect place to experience a Christmas day filled with emotions.
