Antica Fiera di Sant'andrea

In the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese, amid vineyards and landscapes that tell the story of the area's agricultural heritage, one of the most beloved autumn events in the Pavia area is back: the Antica Fiera di Sant'Andrea (Ancient Fair of Sant'Andrea).

On Sunday, November 29, 2026, from 9:30 am until evening, Castana celebrates the tenth edition of an event that brings together tradition, craftsmanship, and great food.

Along Via Roma, the village will welcome artisans, hobbyists, food and second-hand goods vendors, local associations, and a charming exhibition of vintage tractors.

There will also be plenty of fun for the little ones, with inflatables, cotton candy, and afternoon entertainment.

The Castana Pro Loco will offer a menu full of local flavors:

• Polenta with fried food
• Polenta with cooked salami
• Polenta with gorgonzola
• Pasta and beans
• Sandwich with salami or cooked salami
• Homemade cakes
• Mulled wine and other specialties

A bar service with local wines will be available throughout the day, while the indoor self-service lunch will offer a cozy, convivial break.

The afternoon will be enlivened by folk concerts and a DJ set that will accompany the fair into the evening, for a festive, sociable atmosphere.

Parking is available at the sports field, at the cemetery, and along the village streets.

Please note that Via Roma will be closed to traffic: to reach Castana, it is recommended to pass through Montescano, coming up from Casa Colombi.

A whole day to rediscover the authenticity of village traditions and the charm of the Oltrepò Pavese hillside landscape, filled with music, flavors, and smiles.
