The Lodi Region and Its Treasures

FROM SEPTEMBER 19 TO DECEMBER 31, THE FALL/WINTER 2026 EDITION OF THE FESTIVAL “THE LODIGIANO REGION AND ITS TREASURES,” FEATURING A RICH PROGRAM OF EVENTS AND INITIATIVES TO HIGHLIGHT THE CULTURAL, ARTISTIC, ARCHITECTURAL, ARCHAEOLOGICAL, LITERARY, AND NATURAL HERITAGE OF THE REGION
The program for the “The Lodigiano and Its Treasures” festival (24th edition, scheduled from September 19 to December 31) continues to expand, offering numerous cultural and entertainment initiatives in various locations throughout the province, at prestigious and picturesque venues, including castles, farmhouses, churches, palaces, museums, libraries, and nature areas.  The program includes events, itineraries, and guided tours; performances; concerts; conferences; workshops for families with children; and photography and art exhibitions in museums, nature areas, cultural sites, and town squares—all organized into five sections.

VISITING…
In collaboration with public agencies, museums, associations, foundations, and private entities that manage cultural sites in the Lodi area, events and initiatives are organized to promote cultural and natural heritage, featuring meetings and visits to cultural and natural heritage sites in Lodi and the surrounding region. This year, to mark the anniversary of the Battle of the Lodi Bridge (1796–2026), there are various initiatives dedicated to that historical period and to Napoleon, including a guided tour for adults and a workshop for families with children at Napoleon’s former cavalry school (namely, the former convent of San Domenico, now the seat of the Province of Lodi). To mark the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Republic, the Province of Lodi has also launched a new, comprehensive project for the region, involving various local organizations through a range of events such as theatrical readings, concerts, and an exhibition of cartoons by Lele Corvi. Among the new offerings are the “Notes Among Towers and Castles” music festival and a rich program of initiatives for the significant 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of Italy.

MUSEUMS AND NATURAL AREAS TO DISCOVER
In collaboration with museums and nature organizations—which plan and organize events and educational activities tailored to different audiences—special and regular openings of museums, as well as the museum collections and nature areas affiliated with the Lodi Museum System, featuring guided tours, workshops, and events.
In particular, we highlight two new museums: the Museum of Veterinary Sciences at the University of Lodi and the Museum of Combatants and Veterans in Codogno.

Bike tours with guided visits to the cultural and environmental heritage sites of the Lodi area

THE LODIGIANO REGION AND ITS FLAVORS
Two major local events are the “Le Forme del Gusto” Food and Wine Festival, during which the city of Lodi comes alive for three days with guided tours, exhibitions, and cycling tours (from Friday, September 25, to Sunday, September 27) and the Lodigiano Gastronomic Festival, which brings together local restaurateurs and producers (from October 2 to December 6).
