The first two weekends of September see Valchiavenna take center stage at one of the season’s most anticipated food and wine events: the Sagra dei Crotti!

Used as true “zero-cost refrigerators” thanks to the construction of a wall, over the centuries the Crotti have become guardians of the region’s culinary treasures.
The Sagra dei Crotti celebrates these gems of Valchiavenna through food and wine tours through the streets of Chiavenna, the “slow” city par excellence.

What’s more, just for the Sagra dei Crotti, some private crotti are opened to the public especially for the occasion!
