The charming village of Borgoratto Mormorolo, nestled in the rolling hills of the Oltrepò Pavese, dresses up in the warm colors of the season to host the 32nd Autumn Fair – “Come eravamo” (“The Way We Were”), a day dedicated to tradition, memory, and conviviality.

Organized by the Pro Loco of Borgoratto Mormorolo, the event will start at 10:30 a.m. and offer a rich program combining culture, entertainment, and local flavors.

A Journey into the Past: Traditional Trades, Vintage Tractors, and Old Games

The fair will be a wonderful opportunity to rediscover the life of bygone days, featuring ancient crafts, vintage tractors, and traditional games that will delight both children and adults.

Main highlights include:

• Thanksgiving Mass in the parish church

• The show “Mi ricordo che una volta era così” (“I Remember How It Used to Be”), featuring students from Borgo Priolo

• A dialect performance staged by middle school students

Local Cuisine, Market Stalls, and Activities for All

Visitors can enjoy the authentic flavors of the Oltrepò Pavese, thanks to the Pro Loco’s kitchen and the traditional village market.

An indoor dining area will also be available, where you can savor polenta with braised beef stew, gorgonzola, cooked salami, sausages, french fries, roasted chestnuts, and schitta (a traditional local flatbread). A vegetarian menu will also be available.

The day will also feature a photo exhibition, creative workshops, taekwondo demonstrations, the “Miraculous Lottery,” and performances by street and modern artists.

Sports lovers will have the chance to try archery, badminton, and pickleball. Music will fill the air with entertainment by DJ Max and DJ Mauri.

Hot Air Balloon Ride and Book Presentation

A truly special experience awaits: a hot air balloon ride offering breathtaking views over the hills of the Oltrepò Pavese.

As a preview event, on Saturday, October 11, there will be the presentation of the book “Cue i gan a studià da fà al dutur i gan no da fà chi mestè’ chi”, dedicated to preserving the memory of local traditions.

Shuttle Service and Information

A free shuttle service will be available throughout the day to make it easier for both residents and visitors to reach the event.
