OltreGusto 2026
Two evenings among Michelin-starred chefs, Pinot Nero and the flavors of Oltrepò Pavese
On Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 September 2026, Oltregusto returns to Voghera — one of the most anticipated food and wine events of the year, dedicated to the excellence of the Oltrepò Pavese.
2026 is the year that saw the official launch of Classese and the announcement of a new project on still wines — with the historic Montenapoleone designation. It also brings another new development for the Consorzio Vini Oltrepò Pavese: the birth of OltreGusto Oltrepò – Terra di Pinot Nero, which unites the sixth edition of the consortium's event dedicated to the Metodo Classico DOCG and Pinot Nero DOC (red) with the second edition of Oltregusto, bringing together local flavors and food and wine excellence.
The opening will take place on Monday 7 September in the beautiful setting of the Teatro Valentino Garavani in Voghera (PV), where institutional greetings will be held at 9:30 AM, followed by a technical masterclass led by Alessandro Masnaghetti, the most authoritative name in wine cartography. Together with him, attendees will explore the mapping and research work carried out across the territory over recent months, which has led to the creation of a short volume on the key features shaping the local wine landscape, along with the eagerly awaited 2D and 3D maps of the Oltrepò Pavese.
Oltrepò – Terra di Pinot Nero then continues in the garden of the Istituto Gallini in Voghera, a temple of agricultural education since 1894. Here, from 11 AM to 5 PM, tasting stands from 32 wineries will be open, offering press and trade visitors more than one hundred labels of Classese, Metodo Classico dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOCG and Pinot Nero dell'Oltrepò Pavese DOC for tasting.
At the same time, two blind-tasting sessions of Oltrepò's blanc de noirs and rosé de noir will be available — in the morning from 12:00 PM for the press, and in the afternoon from 2:30 PM for trade visitors — offering an opportunity for a systematic exploration of the denomination, with particular focus on Classese.
The wineries taking center stage for the day, in strict alphabetical order, are: Alessio Brandolini, Bosco Longhino, Bruno Verdi, Cà del Gé, Calatroni, Cantina Taia, Cantine Cavallotti, Castello di Cigognola, Conte Vistarino, Cordero San Giorgio, Fiamberti, Finigeto, Francesco Quaquarini, Giorgi, La Genisia, La Piotta, La Travaglina, Lefiole, Lozza, Monsupello, Montelio, Oltrenero, Picchi, Pietro Torti, Prime Alture, Rossetti & Scrivani, Scuropasso, Tenuta Frecciarossa, Tenuta Mazzolino, Tenuta Travaglino, Terre Bentivoglio, and Torre degli Alberi.
As the sun sets, Oltrepò – Terra di Pinot Nero changes character and becomes Oltregusto. On Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 September, from 7 PM to midnight, visitors will enjoy a unique culinary experience — continuing to taste the DOCG and DOC wines of the Oltrepò Pavese, while also meeting the region's finest restaurateurs and discovering outstanding products thanks to the event's partner companies.
Each evening will offer 5 wine tastings and 9 tasting stops from as many Oltrepò restaurants, presenting hot and cold dishes, sweet and savory, drawn from their finest repertoire. Alongside them, however, there will also be live show-cooking sessions featuring Italian Michelin-starred chefs and prestigious guests, who will take turns on stage preparing their creations live.
The evenings will be hosted by Carlo Passera, editorial coordinator of Identità Golose, who will guide the audience through the recipes, techniques and culinary philosophy of the chefs.
The dishes prepared during the show-cooking sessions will then be offered to participants in finger-food format, rounding out a complete gastronomic experience.
Bringing the two events together allows for a joint promotion of the territory's excellence, spotlighting the quality of Pinot Nero-based wines (and beyond), together with the food and wine heritage found across these hills at the foot of the Apennines.
Monday 7 September will feature the restaurants: Dama, La Cave Cantù, Rimulas, Selvatico, Borgo dei Gatti, La Locanda dei Beccaria, La Stazione di Salice, Gazebo pizzeria artigianale, and Iria pasticceria. The Michelin-starred chefs for the show-cooking sessions will be: Salvatore Morello, Roberto di Pinto, Michele Cobuzzi, Andrea de Lillo, Giacomo Devoto, Tim Goelstejin, Mattia Casabianca, Gaia Castelnovo, and Tommaso Foglia.
Tuesday 8 September will feature the restaurants: Villa Naj, Ad Astra, Bazzini, Buscone, Novanta, Osteria del Campanile, Prato Gaio, Il Desco pizzeria, and El Teresito pasticceria. The Michelin-starred chefs: Felice Lo Basso, Nino Ferreri, Giuseppe Biuso, Nicolò Rotella, Gian Marco Bianchi, Giacomo Sacchetto, Domenico Giove, Ilaria Caneva, and Roberto Rinaldini.
