Autumn Festival in Poggio Ferrato

On Sunday, October 12, 2025, the village of Poggio Ferrato, a hamlet of Val di Nizza, will host the 29th edition of the Autumn Festival, an unmissable event for those who love discovering the flavors and traditions of Oltrepò Pavese.

The day will begin at 10:30 a.m. with stalls along the streets of the village, the perfect occasion to stroll among the colors and scents of the autumn season.

Starting from 12:00 p.m., food stands will open, offering a rich menu of traditional dishes: polenta with stew, gorgonzola, sausage and mushrooms, hot sandwiches, roasted chestnuts, and schite. The bar service will be available all day.

In the afternoon, the village will come alive with music from 2:00 p.m., followed at 3:00 p.m. by traditional games such as “nail the stake,” “bottle fishing,” “nut cracking,” and “resgon,” designed to entertain both children and adults in an authentic, convivial atmosphere.

The event will conclude at 6:00 p.m., but throughout the day it will also be possible to visit the Big Bench No. 259, offering a spectacular panoramic view of Oltrepò Pavese.
