Fortunago, the village turns into autumn colours
On Sunday 25 October 2026, Fortunago celebrates autumn with a day dedicated to local flavours, music and traditions of the Oltrepò Pavese. One of the villages included in the “Borghi più belli d’Italia” circuit, Fortunago welcomes the arrival of the season with traditional food, wine tastings, music and activities for all ages.
The event begins at 10:30 am, with stalls offering local products and a market throughout the village. It is an opportunity to discover some of the food products and specialities that characterise the Oltrepò Pavese.
At 12:30 pm, lunch will feature polenta made with locally produced flour, served with gorgonzola or mushrooms and sausage. The menu will also include the traditional “bigoli del faggio” from Romagnese, accompanied by music by Maestro Ermanno.
From 2:00 pm, the afternoon continues with roasted chestnuts, wine tasting and an exhibition of memories dedicated to the local area. There will also be ice cream, supercastagnaccio, workshops and inflatable games for children, as well as traditional songs performed by the choir from Romagnese.
Music will accompany the celebrations throughout the day, with performances featuring the musical traditions of the Four Provinces, including the piffero and accordion duo Yuri Domenichella and Andrea Ferraresi.
Autumn in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese
Fortunago is particularly appealing in autumn, when the colours of the woods and hills surround the historic village. The event offers an opportunity to discover the village at a leisurely pace, taste local specialities and meet local associations and communities.
The celebration is designed for families, visitors and anyone interested in local traditions, bringing together good food, music and conviviality in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese.
