Vinuva Stradella 2026
Grape and Wine Festival in Stradella, Oltrepò Pavese
From 18 to 20 September 2026, Stradella will host VinUva – Tra Storia e Sapori ("Through History and Flavours"), the event that turns the town centre into a stage dedicated to the wines of the Oltrepò Pavese, good food and live music for an entire weekend. Three days built around wine tastings, dinners in the square, wine masterclasses led by sommeliers, concerts and activities for the whole family, in an event that brings together the area's winemaking tradition and the liveliness of town life.
An Event Backed by the Local Business and Institutional Community
VinUva 2026 is organised by Confcommercio Pavia, PromOltrepò and the association Stradella Città che VIVE, under the patronage of the City of Stradella and with the support of Regione Lombardia, as part of the inLombardia network. This partnership confirms Stradella's role, as one of the gateways to the Oltrepò Pavese, as a key point of reference for tourism and food-and-wine promotion in the area.
The VinUva 2026 Programme
Friday 18 September: The Opening and the Sismica Concert
The three-day event opens at 6:00 pm with the official inauguration of VinUva. At 7:15 pm the town centre comes alive with an aperitivo in the square and a DJ set, while dinner in the square begins at 8:00 pm. At 10:00 pm the main stage hosts the evening's headline event: a concert by Sismica, part of the Hot Summer Hits Tour 2026.
Saturday 19 September: Masterclasses, Dance and the Magika90 Party
The second day opens at midday with lunch in the square. From 6:00 pm the wine-tasting stands open, and at the same time a Wine Masterclass dedicated to Buttafuoco takes place. At 6:30 pm local dance schools take to the stage. At 8:00 pm it is time for dinner in the square once again, followed at 9:00 pm by a live show by LIBE. At 10:00 pm the evening's headline act is Magika90.
Sunday 20 September: Repossi Band, Grape Pressing and the Gianmarco Bagutti Orchestra
The final day of VinUva again opens with lunch in the square at midday. At 2:00 pm the Repossi Band takes the stage, while at 4:00 pm visitors can watch the traditional grape pressing, one of the event's most distinctive moments. From 6:00 pm the tasting stands reopen, alongside a Wine Masterclass this time dedicated to Classese. At 7:00 pm there is another DJ set, ahead of dinner in the square at 8:00 pm, which closes the event with a performance by the Gianmarco Bagutti Orchestra.
Wine Takes Centre Stage: Tasting Stands and Masterclasses with FISAR Pavia
Throughout the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, VinUva offers the Red & White tasting stand, dedicated to Buttafuoco and to the Oltrepò Pavese's Metodo Classico sparkling wines, run by the sommeliers of FISAR Pavia. Buttafuoco comes from a specific hillside subzone of the Oltrepò Pavese and is recognised as a traditional term at European level precisely because of its historic and territorial identity, as well as for the intense character that gave the wine its name. Alongside Buttafuoco, the two wine masterclasses on the programme, Saturday devoted to Buttafuoco itself and Sunday to Classese, offer the chance to explore, with a sommelier as a guide, the character of two reds that tell the story of winemaking in the Pavese hills.
More Than Wine: Exhibitions, Games and Craft Stalls for All Ages
VinUva 2026 is not only about tastings: the exhibition "I Trattori di una Volta" ("Tractors of the Past"), curated by the G.A.T.T.E.O. Club, runs throughout all three days of the event, as does the inflatables and trampoline area set up in Area Rondò for younger visitors. On Saturday 19 September, from 11:00 am, the Sala Magnani in the Town Hall (Palazzo Municipale) hosts the opening of "Vite d'Artista", a solo exhibition by Luana Baldrighi. On Saturday and Sunday, the Giant Spinning Top track returns, with traditional wooden games for all ages. On Sunday 20 September, from 10:00 am, Viale Dallapè hosts the "Micromotori" exhibition curated by Motoclub Stradella, while craft stalls fill Via Trento.
Stradella and the Oltrepò Pavese: A Destination to Discover
Stradella, a town in the province of Pavia set among the first hills of the Oltrepò Pavese, is also known as one of Italy's capitals of accordion-making and has long served as one of the gateways to Lombardy's largest wine-producing district. VinUva is the perfect opportunity to explore, beyond the wines on offer, the town's historic centre, and to continue on into the hills of the Oltrepò Pavese, among vineyards, wineries and villages that define the whole area.
