Alpe Prabello - Bridge
In the historic center, the Church in St. John the Baptist, whose original construction dates back to the 15th century, is rich in frescoes and furnishings.
Strolling through the narrow streets, one can observe some houses that still retain the structure of house forts, overlooking inner courtyards characterized by defensive entrances.
Several paintings fresco the walls of old buildings, such as Casa Fornonzini, the former home of a notable family of the past.
In contrada Moizi is the church of the Blessed Virgin Immaculate, built in 1710, where interesting frescoes are preserved.
In Vetto there is the church of St. Charles, built after the plague epidemic of the year 1629, and in Tornadri the Church of St. Peter, dating from the 17th century and rich in paintings and sacred furnishings.
The building that closes the small square of the town of Vetto to the east side is at Lavizzari House, named after an ancient notable family of the past.
In contrada Ganda it is possible to admire the Church of the Vergine Addolorata, built in the year 1750, which contains one of the rare safe works of the Valtellina painter Vittoria Ligari.
THE RURAL CORES
Alpe Prabello
Municipality: Lanzada
Location: It can be reached from the communal road to Campo Moro by following the dirt track from Alpe Campascio di Caspoggio and then continuing on a gently sloping path.
Epoch: 1600-1800
Alpe Prabello is located at an elevation of 2227 meters, in a wide basin at the base of Pizzo Scalino. The preciousness of the meadow is recognized by the shape of the settlement layout, arranged almost as a rectangular court around it, with two groups of buildings with different orientations. The buildings bordering the area to the north have ridges oriented from north to south, with the entrances facing the meadow. The settlement group to the east has predominantly east-west oriented ridges, with the main facades facing the central meadow area. The buildings in the first group are generally one-story, those included in the east core two-story. They are all square in plan, small in size and with symmetrical pitched roofs. A small church and a shelter are present in positions not far from the settlement.
Bridge
Municipality: Lanzada
Location: It can be reached by footpaths, from contrada Curlo di Chiesa and contrade Miozi and Centro di Lanzada; or via the forest track that connects it to the road to Campo Franscia.
Epoch: 1600-1800.
The nucleus of Ponte is located around 1500 meters, in a panoramic position on the sunny side of the valley basin of Chiesa in Valmalenco. The settlement retains considerable interest from both a livestock and residential point of view. It has a considerable amount of mowing meadows on which scattered building is distributed. There are well-preserved mixed-use rural buildings, arranged on two floors, built of pieta and wood. The historical importance of Ponte can also be inferred from the scattering of wall paintings, which characterize the south facades of several buildings. There are also new buildings in the locality, including the 1941 church, and numerous renovations, an effect of the place's tourist value as well.
