"GRIESI COLLECTION". 80° OF THE ITALIAN REPUBLIC
The exhibition aims to make visitors relive the events, mood and highlights of that difficult historical period, told through the men and women who were its protagonists.
Between the main pieces of the exhibition: a wooden electoral wheel, with photos of King Umberto II and that of Queen Marie Jose of Belgium intent on voting; an original State Mint copy of the Fundamental Statute of the Kingdom, known simply as the Albertine Statute, named after the king who promulgated it, Charles Albert of Savoy; an original State Mint copy of the Constitution of the Italian Republic, the fundamental law of the Italian State; rare propaganda leaflets in favor of the Monarchy, addressed to the proletarians, men and women of Italy; rpropaganda leaflets in favor of the Republic; front pages of the period newspapers of June 3, 1946 L'UNITA' - L'ITALIA - IL TEMPO - MILANO SERA, reporting the results of the referendum.
Concluding the exhibition is a display of various vintage Italian flags from the Kingdom of Italy to the present day, period clothing and tricolor sashes with the respective symbols of the Kingdom of Italy and the Italian Republic.
