EXPIATORY ROYAL CHAPEL. AN MEETING BETWEEN SPORT AND HISTORY
Talk with guided tour in three appointments dedicated to schools and sportsmen.
An initiative in collaboration with Forti e Liberi, as part of Cultural Olympiad Milan Cortina 2026
The history of the Expiatory Chapel is deeply linked to sport: the land on which it is built was the sports field of the Forti e Liberi Society, active in Monza since 1878. The meeting starts at the headquarters of Forti e Liberi, where the history of sports at the beginning of the century will be told with period photographs, and ends with a visit to the Expiatory Chapel, where the night of the regicide of Umberto I of Savoy changed forever the history of sports in the city.
