FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT - FAMILIES SPECIAL!
Guided tour by Art-U Association
On July 29, every year, the Monza night is lit up: the alabaster cross of the Expiatory Chapel is illuminated to commemorate a sad anniversary... but out of darkness light can be born. In every part of this monument, in fact, light is the protagonist: in the shining mosaics of the chapel, in the penumbra of the crypt barely illuminated by golden stars, in the sunny garden. Electric or natural, it accompanies us on our visit with all its meanings. We can turn it together into a small lamp to take with us in dark moments.
Activity recommended for children 6-11 years old and their chaperones
Meeting: 15' before at Cappella Espiatoria, Via Matteo da Campione 8, Monza.
Duration:about 1 hour and 30 minutes
Cost per person: Free activity for both Museum Pass holders and non-holders.

The meeting starts from the headquarters of Forti e Liberi, where the history of sports at the turn of the century will be told with period photographs, and ends with a visit to the Expiatory Chapel, where the night of the regicide of Umberto I of Savoy changed forever the history of sports in the city.
