ROYAL EXPIATORY CHAPEL. A MEETING OF SPORT AND HISTORY
Talk with guided tour in three sessions dedicated to schools and athletes.
An initiative in collaboration with Forti e Liberi, as part of the Milan Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympics
The history of the Expiatory Chapel is deeply tied to sport: the land on which it is built was the sports field of the Forti e Liberi Society, active in Monza since 1878. The meeting begins at the Forti e Liberi headquarters, where the history of sport at the turn of the century will be recounted with period photographs, and ends with a visit to the Expiatory Chapel, where the night of the regicide of Umberto I of Savoy forever changed the history of sport in the city.
