FESTIVAL OF STORIES. GIVE ME A BOOK THAT OPENS THE DOORS | 5th edition
The Expiatory Chapel is participating in the widespread review organized by Brianza Libraries with a special event of Readings in the Crypt. Volunteers Friends of SBU (Monza Urban Library System) will offer animated reading of a selection of illustrated books following the theme of Festival 2025: Nourishment. The event is designed especially for children between the ages of6 and 10.

F@MU - In the Footsteps of Kings and Queens
On the occasion of the annual event dedicated to families, children and children will find a station set up for them in the garden, freely usable throughout the day: drawing materials, games and detail observation exercises await! All children between the ages of 5 and 13 are welcome.

The ART OF MOSAIC
How is a mosaic made? What is its symbolic meaning?
Laboratory for children aged 10 to 13 to discover the artistic technique of mosaic by GuidArte in collaboration with Abbonamento Musei Lombardia - which proposes the explanation of this extraordinary technique in ancient and modern times, and the analysis of the splendid mosaics of the chapel and crypt made by Venetian manufactures. The children will then be invited to make their own mosaic with cardboard and colored papers.
Appointments will be confirmed upon reaching a minimum of 10 members (children + accompanying persons).
Participation is open to all. Those who do not have the "Abbonamento Musei Lombardia" card, by booking for the activity will receive a 20% discount code for the purchase of an Abbonamento Musei Lombardia Valle d'Aosta card, which can be activated by 31/12/2025 (online or at one of the points of sale).

Who's Afraid of the Darkness?
The second round of readings by Volunteers "Friends of SBU" is starting. This year's theme is darkness, light and shadows-the elements we find in the Crypt of the Expiatory Chapel! We will read "Hunted Houses" by M. Scotti and A. Marinoni, and listen to a special audio made by the students of the Liceo Nanni Valentini di Monza. Initiative for children 6-10 years old. TOCCA TO YOU. A POLYSENSORIAL ROUTE
On the occasion of International Museum Day, we offer a special touch path to discover the precious materials of our monument. How are they made? What history do they have? What sensations do they offer us? The visit is carried out with restorer Sara Rossotti and thanks to grants from the PNRR Polysensory Museums project.
