Belvedere dei Piani Resinelli
Start out from the city and arrive at 1,400 metres? You can do this by heading up to Piani Resinelli from Milan or Lecco.
This large plateau covering the municipalities of Lecco, Abbadia Lariana, Mandello del Lario and Ballabio awaits you in Valsassina, at the foot of Grignetta. Here you can enjoy views out over Lake Como from a unique vantage point: in fact a panoramic walkway, about 12 metres long, a balcony suspended over the valley, has been recently opened, giving you the chance to admire the nature all around you. To arrive, just head for the roundabout in Ballabio and follow the signs to Piani Resinelli. Here, you can leave your car and make your way up to Parco Valentino. Alternatively, if you choose to walk, you can park in Ballabio and continue for about half an hour on foot. A tip? At dawn and sunset, the views are even more stunning.
