Literary concert series on the occasion of the Jubilee 2025
In the late Middle Ages, many women lived an intense and innovative spirituality, as nuns, tertiaries, Cathars, Waldensians or pilgrims. Visionaries and prophetesses, they felt called by God and, for many, the only way to express themselves was to write. Rejecting Latin, they used the vernacular languages for direct contact with God, breaking with the tradition that reserved spirituality for men.
