On Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Monza Civic Museums will be open to all visitors free of charge, as they are on the first Sunday of every month.
You can visit the temporary exhibition:
OFF COURSE
The theme of travel, discovery, and exploration spans millennia and civilizations, serving as an opportunity for exchange and dialogue: through works from the civic collections—many of which are on display for the first time—the Civic Museums present an exhibition that guides visitors through the many facets of travel, from antiquity to 19th-century explorers in Africa, from the wonders of the Far East to the secrets of Pharaonic Egypt, and on to the allure of Middle Eastern landscapes and the “Chinoiserie” that was all the rage in the 19th century.
You can also take part in a guided tour:
A WALK THROUGH ART, A MUSEUM TO DISCOVER - 4:00 p.m.
A guided tour through the halls of the Civic Museums, discovering the artistic treasures that tell the story of over 2,000 years of history: from the Roman city to contemporary art, from the 17th century to the masterpieces of Pompeo Mariani, Mosè Bianchi, Giovanni Fattori, Anselmo Bucci, Arturo Martini, and many others, culminating in an exciting “encounter” with the Nun of Monza in the interactive area dedicated to her, her story, and *The Betrothed*.
