Menaglio Mill
Old watermill located on the edge of the municipal boundary of Teglio, in the hamlet of San Rocco.
Aforward-looking project that found many protagonists, starting with the Municipal Administration, which several years ago purchased it, now disused, from the Menaglio Family glimpsing its potential.
Developing - together with arch. Palladini - a recovery project shared and supported by both Gal Valtellina and the Cariplo Foundation, it was handed over for management to the newly formed "Association for the Cultivation of Buckwheat of Teglio and Alpine Cereals."
The facility, located on the edge of the municipal boundary, in the hamlet of San Rocco, also has exhibition spaces on two levels and a small building adjacent to the Molino where a kitchen and an oven allow the tasting of Valtellina products, in an unparalleled setting.
Also strong will be the educational value of the mill for younger generations who would like to visit the facility under the guidance of the new management.
The Mill, which is located in an unfenced space, can always be visited outside and is a worthy destination point for a pleasant walk.
During the 2020 summer period it can be visited on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings by appointment.
