Church of Sts. James and Andrew
The building stands in the center of the village, on a square once enclosed by four gates, of which only one facing south remains today.
The churchyard was originally a sacred area designated as a cemetery, which has been modified several times over the centuries. The church today has a gabled facade and roof slopes emphasized by a stucco cornice and closed by another horizontal frame suggesting the idea of a gable.
The façade is punctuated by stone pilasters that are also repeated at regular intervals along the exterior walls, from which lunette windows placed at the interior chapels are cut out. The entrance portal is made of stone and surmounted by a stucco tympanum. The baroque interior of the church is rich in frescoes, paintings and stucco distributed in the side chapels and along the barrel-vaulted nave. Also of great interest is the wooden ciborium placed on the main wing, flanked on the left by a tabernacle and reliquary of excellent workmanship. Behind the altar we find a choir entirely inlaid, adorned with statues and surmounted by canvases. Also in wood are the pulpit, organ and an excellent lectern. On the building, architecturally speaking, the only real fracture noted is between the first bay dating from 1800 and the rest of the church, which is richer in decoration.
