La mostra, realizzata in collaborazione con l’ Estate Brassaï e curata da Philippe Ribeyrolles, studioso nonché nipote del grande fotografo, presenterà attraverso più di 200 stampe d’epoca un approfondito e inedito sguardo sull’opera di Brassaï, con particolare attenzione alle famosissime immagini dedicate alla capitale francese e alla sua vita. Ungherese di nascita, ma parigino d’adozione, Brassaï è stato uno dei protagonisti della fotografia mondiale, definito dall’amico Henry Miller “l’occhio vivo” della fotografia. In stretta relazione con artisti quali Picasso, Dalì e Matisse, e vicino al movimento surrealista, a partire dal 1924 fu partecipe del grande fermento culturale che investì Parigi in quegli anni.
