Museo del Novecento

The Museo del Novecento is a mandatory stop for among the museums of Milan, offering the opportunity to admire numerous masterpieces beside each other.

It is only a few steps away from the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, a brief itinerary with a high concentration of art and architecture spanning all eras. Cultural tourism in Milan awaits at every corner to enjoy the weekend or a long vacation.

After a series of important restoration works, the Museo del Novecento was inaugurated in 2010. Its headquarters keep the building's old facade while its indoors have been modified to accommodate the exhibition route. 

Starting at the subway station,  you can climb the spiral stairs and reach the top floor to enjoying the view of the square and the Cathedral's spiers.

You can gaze upon nearly 400 artworks, the first of which should be The Fourth Estate by Pelizza da Volpiedo, who has his own dedicated room that can be found by going along the ramp.

It has sections that focus on artists such as Picasso, Braque, Klee, Kandinskij, Laurens and Modigliani, De Chirico, Morandi and Melotti, plus spaces focusing in Lucio Fontana and Pop Art.

The Edu900 section often proposes tourism initiatives for families and schools.
