The world of Banksy: the immersive experience
Milan does not tire of Banksy. After winning tens of thousands of visitors in the first months of its opening, The World of Banksy - The Immersive Experience extends its stay in the Lombard capital until November 2, 2025, confirming itself among the most beloved cultural events of the season. The extension responds to public enthusiasm and the desire to still offer everyone the chance to take an immersive journey into the provocative and visionary universe of the world's most famous street artist.
Hosted in the new cultural hub Varesina 204, in the heart of the Milano Certosa District, the exhibition features more than 100 works - including graffiti, photographs, installations and prints - created on different media, from canvas to forex, from Plexiglas to aluminum. The installation, specially conceived for this Milan stop, guides the visitor through a multisensory journey, including large-scale murals, reconstructed urban settings and an engaging video section that delves into the main social issues addressed by Banksy: war, inequality, consumerism, control and human rights.
The exhibition, now through July 1, 2025, and then from Aug. 26 through Nov. 2, 2025, remains open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last admission at 6 p.m.). From July 2 to August 3, however, it will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, also from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last admission at 6 p.m.). Finally, a summer closure is planned from August 4 to 25 inclusive. Rates remain unchanged.
The World of Banksy is designed for a broad, cross-cultural audience, curious not only to find iconic images such as Flower Thrower, Napoleon or Ozone Angel, but also to understand their context, symbolic power and message. Each room is designed to restore the immediate power of the original works, accompanying the viewer in an ongoing reflection between art and current events.
Active since the mid-1990s, Banksy is now one of the most influential figures in contemporary art. His works, created with the stencil technique, have invaded the walls of cities around the world, from London to Tokyo, from New York to Venice. While maintaining his anonymity and a clear distance from the traditional art market, Banksy has achieved global recognition and growing notoriety, in part due to his social engagement and ability to intervene forcefully on the most pressing issues of the present.
Tickets can be purchased on the exhibition's official website www.theworldofbanksy.it and on major platforms: www.ticketone.it, www.happyticket.it and www.ticketmaster.it.
