Party in Gandino with barbed corn, in the field and on the table
From Sept. 25 to Oct. 5, 2025, the medieval village of Gandino in the Seriana Valley (BG) will be transformed into the capital of taste and traditions with the 18th edition of "I Giorni del Melgotto," organized by the Gandino Spinato Corn Community.
The event, created to enhance the ancient variety that first came to Lombardy in 1632, features two weekends with themed lunches and dinners, guided tours, cultural events, technical meetings and musical performances.
The initiative is part of the project "Tra Radici e Innovazione: la Val Gandino si racconta," supported by the Lombardy Region through the Lombardy Style 2025 announcement.
A path involving the municipalities of the Cinque Terre of Val Gandino (Gandino, Leffe, Casnigo, Peia and Cazzano S. Andrea), united to promote sports, culture and food and wine excellence. The territory of the five municipalities is recognized as a certified De.C.O. (Denominazione Comunale d'Origine) cultivated area to protect the Spinato Maize supply chain.
