Infopoint Discover Albino
On your trip to the Seriana Valley, visit the town of Albino and retrace the footsteps of great artists.Albino, the main center of the Eastern Orobie, is the beating heart of the Seriana Valley, where business activity is intertwined with a rich artistic heritage and an amazing natural environment.
Reaching the historic center of Albino is easy, perhaps by using the convenient Teb streetcar from Bergamo. Walking through its ancient streets, you'll find yourself immersed in a lively atmosphere, with stores and restaurants that reflect the centuries-old history of the place. Here you can discover the works of Giovan Battista Moroni, a celebrated 16th-century painter and son of this land. His canvases are kept in the churches of San Giuliano, Santa Barbara and the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Pianto, alongside those of Salmeggia, Zucco. Also, do not miss a visit to the church of San Bartolomeo, where wooden sculptures by Pietro Bussolo and Marinoni are on display.
After a good lunch, you can choose to venture out on foot along one of the many paths that start from Bondo Petello or Comenduno di Albino, or walk along the Serio River, immersing yourself in the Valle del Lujo, a green area that, leaving behind the city connotation, becomes a true green lung, rich in nature and unique agricultural and mountain landscapes.
