An area that includes 16 municipalities in the eastern belt of Bergamo province: Albano Sant'Alessandro, Bagnatica, Bolgare, Brusaporto, Carobbio degli Angeli, Chiuduno, Costa di Mezzate, Gorlago, Gorle, Montello, Orio al Serio, Pedrengo, San Paolo d'Argon, Scanzorosciate, Seriate and Torre De' Roveri.
The Lands of the Bishopric are full of Flavors, not only to taste, but also to experience!
Passion, Dedication, Tradition and Innovation: these are the ingredients of an area to be discovered. There are many products of excellence in the Territory: from Moscato di Scanzo, the only DOCG in the Bergamo area to Valcalepio DOC, and more olive oil, honey, jams, cured meats and dairy products, craft beers and much, much more.
The Lands of the Bishopric are rich in history and culture. A history clearly visible in the ancient villages and castles, historic villas and palaces, and in the works of the great artists of the past.
An area where time seems to stand still, among vineyards and places that tell stories of important communication routes and works of art. Routes that wind through the most beautiful patrician residences: Italian gardens, ancient palaces, unexpected works of art. Small architectural gems, almost always to be discovered and set in enchanting landscape settings, where you can admire splendid cycles of frescoes, which leave you marveling.
The Lands of the Bishopric enjoy a truly outstanding natural heritage. Green hills, cultivated with vineyards and olive groves, or covered with ancient forests, slope down to an industrious and productive plain, drawing a characteristic landscape of rare beauty. Several PLIS (Parks of supra-municipal interest) characterize our Territory: PLIS of the Serio North, PLIS of the Argon Valleys, PLIS of the Castles of Mount Tomenone, PLIS of Mount Bastia and Roccolo, PLIS of Malmera, Montecchi and Colle degli Angeli.
