Val Viola, located between Bormio and Livigno in Alta Valtellina, is the perfect destination for lovers of nature and outdoor activities in all seasons. In summer, the valley is the perfect place for walking and trekking, with trails that are also suitable for families with small children.
One of the most charming locations is Lake Val Viola, a spectacular panorama surrounded by nature. And if you go there in autumn, the colours create a fairytale setting, while winter transforms Val Viola into a great destination for snow activities, such as Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and fat biking, with well-beaten trails.
In summer, there is a daily ticket charge of 5 euros to go to Val Viola, with the possibility to use the shuttle service from Arnoga to avoid the initial, less pleasant section.
