Infopoint Morbegno
Porte di Valtellina Tourist Consortium
The Porte di Valtellina Tourist Consortium operates on the Morbegno Mandamento, in the Province of Sondrio, which ranges from the territories of Buglio in Monte and Forcola to those of Piantedo and Dubino.
The 'area covered consists of the valley floor-where the Adda River and the Sentiero Valtellina go hand in hand-and its population centers, but it is also divided into the following transverse valleys and areas:
- Val Masino
- Tartano Valley
- Bitto Valley of Albaredo
- Valgerola
- Lesina Valley
- Cech Coast
TheInfopoint provides services such as tourist information, reception and assistance to the public, including through the printed materials on display that can be taken free of charge. Particularly noteworthy are the hiking maps of the valleys/areas listed above and those of the Via dei Terrazzamenti, Sentiero Valtellina and Cammino Mariano delle Alpi, along with other information material also concerning the cultural sphere.
The primary task carried out by the Consortium is the active promotion of the area, including through the organization and/or coordination of major events such as Morbegno in Cantina and Gustosando in Valtellina, which take place in the fall. In addition, the website and social networks are constantly updated so that events in the area and any useful information for visitors are reported. A weekly newsletter is also compiled with all the events, for which you can subscribe by clicking this link.
Finally, the office serves as the main ticket office for local public transport and, in the summer period, also for the Valtellina Mare line.
