Oasi Lipu Bosco Vignolo
An Oasis of Nature in a Sea of Agriculture
The Bosco del Vignolo Oasis was established around an initial area of land acquired by the Municipality of Garlasco in the 1970s to preserve the unique spring-fed wetlands typical of this part of the Po Valley.
The Bosco del Vignolo Oasis was officially created in 1998 through an agreement between the Municipality of Garlasco, the Lombardy Ticino Valley Park, and LIPU, which manages conservation activities, as well as environmental education and awareness initiatives.
The Oasis features a Visitor Center, from which a Nature Trail equipped with educational panels extends. Parking is available along the dirt road in front of the entrance. Throughout the year, numerous nature events are organized to explore the Oasis's environment, catering to both adults and children.
The Oasis is open from February to June and from September to November on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with guided tours available only by reservation.
Public visits are allowed on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
HOW TO GET THERE:
Coming from Pavia, take State Road No. 596 towards Garlasco. Upon reaching the Gropello Cairoli bypass, take the Gropello Ovest exit and continue towards Vigevano along Provincial Road No. 206. Upon reaching the Sanctuary of Madonna delle Bozzole, turn right and follow a dirt road for approximately 500 meters until you reach the entrance of the Oasis.
If arriving from Milan, take the A7 motorway (Milan-Genoa) and exit at Gropello Cairoli.
