Terrazze del Duomo: The Enchanting Evenings Are Back
From Thursday, June 11, to Thursday, September 10, 2026, Milan Cathedral once again tells its story through music with the highly anticipated summer calendar of events on the Cathedral’s terraces. The roof of the Duomo—the only cathedral in the world with a roof that is entirely accessible to the public—offers a unique view of the city, from which Milanese residents and tourists alike will once again be able to enjoy the Milanese skyline while savoring a brief musical performance.
Every Thursday, the program—curated by Artistic Coordinator Matteo Amadasi—is enriched with new offerings, taking the audience on a journey through the great classical tradition, in line with the ongoing commitment to supporting students at the “G. Verdi” Music Conservatory in Milan, with which the Veneranda Fabbrica has renewed its collaboration for the initiative once again this year.
The series begins on June 11 at 8:30 p.m. with a performance by the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano Quartet, featuring Andrea Pecolo (violin), Stefano Lo Re (violin), Matteo Amadasi (viola), and Alfredo Persichilli (cello).
In addition to the three concerts organized by the Milan Conservatory—which will feature a saxophone quartet, a solo violinist, and an electronic music duo—and the variety of ensembles on the program, the calendar features several particularly notable evenings, starting with the opening night featuring the quartet in residence at the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano, through to the July and September events headlined by internationally renowned musicians such as Davide Cabassi, who will perform a piano recital on July 16, and Michele Gamba, who will perform the solo piano concerto on September 3—events that mark some of the most significant moments of the 2026 edition.
Soloists Alfredo Persichilli, Simonide Braconi, Luca Ranieri, Mario Marzi, Fabrizio Meloni, and Marco Zoni will also take center stage during these musical events.
