Summer Organ Festival in Peglio

On 6 July 6, 20 July and 2 August, starting at 5:00 PM, the Summer Organ Festival will take place at the Church of Saints Eusebio and Vittore in Peglio.

The initiative features three concerts designed to combine the appreciation of ancient musical heritage with the exploration of the local area.The festival is a tribute to Costanzo Antegnati (1546–1624), a prominent figure in the history of the Renaissance organ. 

Programme: 

• Sunday, 6 July, at 5:00 PM: Marian Polin (organ) and Pietro Modesti (trumpet and horn) - Marian Polin, organist and artistic director of South Tyrolean origin, trained in Vienna, Milan, Lausanne, and Basel - Pietro Modesti, trumpeter and cornettist trained at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, founder of the ensemble UtFaSol and cornetto teacher in Cesena and Milan;
• Sunday, 20 July, at 5:00 PM: Matthias Blumer (organ) - Matthias Blumer, honorary citizen of Peglio, retired church musician and teacher from Romanshorn, a town on the southern shore of Lake Constance; 
• Saturday, 2 August, at 5:00 PM: Mattia Calderazzo (organ) - Mattia Calderazzo, organist and pianist born in Como in 1988, active between Italy and Switzerland. With an extensive repertoire and a long career in both concert and liturgical settings, he was the artistic director of the festival “Parole d’organo.”

Free admission.
