Napoleon - The Ghost of the Emperor

Written and directed by Franco Franchini, Napoleon – The Ghost of the Emperor features Andrea Dolente in the role of Napoleon and Raphael Roger Levy as General Bertrand, along with Andrea Sidoti and Emanuele Frascadore.

⚔️ The story is set in 1840, during the journey that brings the Emperor's remains back to Paris. On a ship shrouded in fog, Napoleon believes he is still headed to Saint Helena, but slowly discovers an impossible reality: he is already dead.

Amid memories, loves, battles, glory, mistakes, and defeats, the protagonist retraces his existence while General Bertrand becomes his most direct interlocutor. A journey suspended in time that leads Napoleon to confront even his own coffin.

🎭 Irony, tension, and visionary dimension meet in an essential staging, constructed through word, light, and sound, with Italian and French coexisting on stage.

The show does not aim to tell only about the great leader but to question power, ambition, responsibility, myth, defeat, and the judgment of History, restoring complexity and humanity to the figure of Napoleon.
