MONZA PAESAGGIO WEEK 2026
Festival for landscape culture, awareness and experience
Back dfrom May 25 to 29, 2026 Monza Landscape Week, the festival that saw its first edition in 2024 and aims to raise culture, awareness and experience of the landscape, as well as promote place consciousness and widespread territorial quality.
The event will offer a busy program of meetings, exhibitions, debates, walks and performances open to all as early as May 22 with previews.
Water as a common thread.
Studies and research on Monza's relationship with water and the many meanings it has taken on over time in a exhibition in Via Carlo Alberto; virtual walks along the Lambro through the photographs on display in the Civic Gallery or real ones with the guided tour "The landscape built on the waters of the Lambro River" or even the three walks in the historic center "Man and the Lambro: between history and environment." These are just some of the widespread appointments of the 2026 edition, which revolves around the "Spring School" on Monday afternoon entirely dedicated to water as the driving force of all nature, with speeches and reflections on cities on the waterway.
A week of in-depth studies at Villa Reale. The heart of the event will once again be the Villa Reale in Monza, which will host in its spaces conferences, study sessions and evening performances divided into more than 40 panels.
Events in the City and Museums. Alongside the program in the Villa, Landscape Week spreads across the territory with thirteen permanent initiatives including previews, talk exhibitions, installations and more than twenty daily events in places in the city and the Park, which become opportunities for collective exploration and sharing. Photographic exhibitions, guided tours, outdoor workshops, installations and walks will invite participants to rediscover Monza and its landscapes, between identity places and sustainable futures. From the Civic Museums to the banks of the Lambro, passing through the Triante neighborhood as a community map and identity place, the city will open up to new perspectives thanks to the active involvement of cultural associations, professional orders, educational institutions and citizens.
In addition, on the occasion of Landscape Week, the Civic Museums of Monza will host, from May 23 until the end of August, the exhibition "Fuori rotta", which explores the theme of travel and exploration through works from the civic collections, many of which are being exhibited for the first time.
Saturday, May 23, focus on the Triante neighborhood. One of the events ahead of the Festival is scheduled for Saturday, May 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Circolo Cattaneo on Via Vittorio Veneto. In collaboration with the Nuovarchitettura Association, the project concerning the new square as an element of the neighborhood's new identity will be discussed in depth.
"Also for this edition we propose a reflection on Landscape as an indispensable element of everyday life and identity of each one: professors, professionals and Associations will offer points of life and unprecedented looks at the team to help us rediscover its most authentic value," explain Mayor Paolo Pilotto and Councillor for Territorial Government Marco Lamperti.
