Bitto Exhibition 2025
Morbegno hosts the famous Mostra del Bitto, in its 118th edition, considered one of the most anticipated autumn events in Valtellina and featuring as the absolute protagonist the famous Valtellina cheese that was born in this territory.
The Fair was born as an opportunity to judge and sell in Valtellina the best Bitto cheeses produced during the summer on the mountain pastures, but today, more than a century after its birth, the event is proposed as a moment to evoke ancient Valtellina processing, DOP products and the memory of traditional recipes.
The soul of the event will be the ever-present Competition that will bring Bitto DOP, Valtellina Casera DOP, Scimudin and Latteria cheese of various maturities to the podium: the competing cheeses will be placed inside the casera open to the public and used for tastings and samplings throughout the weekend.
Guided tastings will be held inside the frescoed halls and terraced garden of the Renaissance Palazzo Malacrida, inside the chapter rooms and in the cellars of the Convent ofSt. Anthony.
Bitto Exhibition Hours:
Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m;
Sunday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
