Museum of Land Reclamation
In the old "Chiavica del Reale" in Chignolo Po
The Land Reclamation Museum of Chignolo Po showcases the essence of land reclamation. It is directly located on a large drainage canal that helps divert water from low-lying areas, with its foundations in the main embankment of the Po River, directly facing the new Chiavica del Reale, which today is the heart of land reclamation in the Lower Pavese area.
This museum combines the present, past, and future, and serves as tangible evidence of the benefits that land reclamation has brought to these areas, which have always been shaped by the river’s morphology.
Opening hours
The Land Reclamation Museum is open to the public by appointment only, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
