Fairytale loves
Today is Valentine’s Day! A perfect opportunity to bring together the characters depicted in the museum’s artworks and use our imagination to invent happy-ending fairytales! A young peasant girl might fall in love with a brave medieval knight who protects her from a dragon, or a smiling poet might invite a young queen for a carriage ride… or who knows what else might happen!

Out and about with… Anselmo
Anselmo Bucci was a great painter who lived for a long time in Monza; many of his works are displayed in the temporary exhibition and in the museum during this period. Anselmo was a great traveller and painted many different means of transport in his works, from bicycles to airplanes! We will take a tour to discover all the vehicles he depicted and then, in the workshop, we will dedicate a portrait to him aboard the vehicle we like most!

Artistic Olympics!
The Winter Olympics competitions are coming to an end! Each of us will have found our favourite sport and athlete… let’s create an Olympic collage using the museum’s paintings as backgrounds for fantastic snowy competitions: we’ll sprinkle snow everywhere and every landscape will become a ski slope, a sledding track or an ice-skating rink, of course… with the five rings and medals!

Goodbye February!
We’ve reached the end of February, the shortest month: March, the month of spring, awaits us! Let’s try to represent the passing of the seasons in an artistic way: we’ll take inspiration from the museum’s artworks and then, using many different techniques, we’ll create a fantastic tree half winter and half spring, placing it in our favourite landscape.

In winter, nature rests, quiet and silent. Many animals hibernate in dens, and most trees are bare, with branches drawing intricate twists and turns. Let's look for the winter season painted in the works, and in the workshop we will make an interpretation of nature's winter sleep.
