Festa d'Agosto a Torre d'Isola
Torre d'Isola, on the outskirts of Pavia along the Ticino river, once again hosts the August Festival, now in its third edition. From Friday, July 31 to Monday, August 3, 2026, Piazza della Libertà becomes the meeting point of Pavia's summer, with four evenings of live music, good food and fun for all ages. Admission is free, making it a perfect evening out with family or friends among the province of Pavia's summer festivals.
Four Nights of Live Music
The festival kicks off on Friday, July 31 with the live energy of Mascalzoni Live Band, opening the celebration with a lively set. On Saturday, August 1, it's the turn of Urlo Band, perfect for singing along to the great classics of Italian and international rock and pop. On Sunday, August 2, the evening features three different acts: DerivAcustica opens the night, followed by the duo Aldo & Jessica and a DJ set by Alex King of the Night, for an evening that blends acoustic sounds with dance-floor energy. The grand finale takes place on Monday, August 3 with the orchestra of Giorgio Villani, a mainstay of local dance festivals, along with the traditional drawing of the August Lottery, which closes the event with a touch of suspense. Every evening's show begins at 9:00 PM.
Food, Beer and Wine: The Festival Comes Alive at the Table
No proper village festival is complete without an open-air kitchen running every evening: a grill and fried-food stand serve mixed grills and tasty fried snacks, while traditional risottos bring the flavors of local cuisine to the table. On Monday, the grand finale extends to the menu with trippa (tripe), a dish symbolic of local folk festivals. The festival bar stays open throughout, offering a selection of beers and wines from the Oltrepò Pavese to pair with the food on offer. For those who love to dance, a dance floor is available every evening for guests of all ages.
