Ferragosto 2026 in Pavia

This year, Ferragosto — Italy's mid-August holiday — is celebrated in Pavia's Piazza del Carmine, one of the most striking squares in the historic centre. On 15 and 16 August 2026, E-State a Pavia brings two evenings of live music, shows and street food to the city, open from 7:00 pm until 1:00 am. A double appointment designed both for those staying in Pavia over the Ferragosto week and for visitors looking for a different kind of summer night out in the city.

Saturday 15 August: the Best of Festivalbar, Banfy Live Show and DJ Set by Pek

The first evening of E-State a Pavia brings back the energy of Festivalbar Show, the format that for years soundtracked Italian summers with its hit songs. The Piazza del Carmine stage also hosts the Banfy Live Show, while DJ Set by Pek closes the night, keeping the music and dancing going until one in the morning.

Sunday 16 August: an 883 Tribute with  CISCO BAND 883 TRIBUTE and Remember Disco Pavia

The second evening turns to 1990s Italian music with  a tribute to 883, the band that, with Max Pezzali, wrote some of the best-loved songs of Italian summers. Remember Disco Pavia follows, bringing disco revival sounds back to the square to close out the Ferragosto weekend with music and dancing.

Street Food and Piazza del Carmine, Between Flavours and History

On both evenings, Piazza del Carmine also hosts a street food area, designed to pair the music with outdoor dining options. The square is one of the most characterful in Pavia's historic centre: backdropping both evenings is the Gothic façade of the Chiesa di Santa Maria del Carmine, a fourteenth-century church that has already been at the centre of the city's summer events calendar with the Festival del Carmine. With E-State a Pavia, the square now opens a new chapter of its summer programme, this time for Ferragosto.
