Emotions of the Games
Towards the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics!
From Sept. 16 to Nov. 2, the Violin Museum, Cremona will host a stage of the project Emotions of the Games - Cultures through sport, promoted by the Lombardy Region and carried out in collaboration with Ficts - Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, toward the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics.
Video montages and 180 photographs, divided into two sections, will trace the History of the Olympic Games and recount the role and achievements of Women at the Olympic Games.
The initiative, included in the official schedule of the Cultural Olympiad of Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 and an integral part of the Triennial Program of Culture 2023-2025, proposes a pathway to the Games that interweaves sports, culture, tourism and schools, with the intention of strengthening the Olympic legacy and making the authentic spirit of Olympism accessible to the greatest number of citizens.
"With this project," explains Councillor Caruso, "we show that sports and culture can coexist together. The Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics and Paralympics will not only be a great sports competition, but also an opportunity to leave a mark in the territories."
"This initiative," he concludes, "tells with images and testimonies the story of great athletes and remembers the Fanchini sisters, who were able to transform their passion for the mountains into an example of courage. It is a way to involve new generations and build a legacy that will remain in communities even after the Games."
The exhibition open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
