Lombardy is home to many major hydraulic engineering projects that, over the centuries, have transformed the region and fostered the development of transportation, energy, and manufacturing.
Starting with a few significant examples, we’ll discover how these projects emerged from the ingenuity and technical expertise of their time and how they changed the way people live and work. A journey through past and present to understand how some of those ancient solutions remain relevant today and can offer new opportunities, while others seem to have outlived their purpose. An aperitif will be served at the end.
