10^ Gran Fondo Tre Valli Varesine
Qualifying race for the 2027 UCI Gran Fondo World Championship
Sport, tourism and two-wheeled passion
On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026, the Granfondo Tre Valli Varesine road race, organized by S.C. Alfredo Binda, returns to Varese. An unmissable event that combines sport, tourism and local enhancement, attracting cyclists from Italy and abroad.
The entire event will kick off on Saturday 3 October with the Individual Time Trial, confirmed after the great success of previous editions and will continue on Sunday 4 October with the Granfondo and the Mediofondo, both included in the UCI Granfondo World Series. Alongside the races, the competition dedicated to the Gravel category —highly appreciated by enthusiasts in recent editions—and the Strawoman, a non-competitive walk, also return.
The picturesque Estensi Gardens in Via Sacco will host the Race Village, complete with a food area featuring local specialties, a shop area with the latest innovations in the cycling sector and a rich program of entertainment music.
Beyond sport, the Granfondo represents an extraordinary opportunity to discover the province of the Seven Lakes, with its routes crossing unique landscapes set among nature, history and tradition. A true draw for cycle tourists and travelers, who will have the opportunity to combine the sporting challenge with the discovery of local excellence, from gastronomy to artistic beauty.
The event is not reserved only for athletes: families, friends and enthusiasts will be able to follow the routes, get to know the area and participate in the numerous side events that will enliven the city.
Sport, tourism and conviviality intertwine to give life to a weekend that will once again make Varese the international capital of cycling!
