“Recycling Beauty” è un’inedita ricognizione dedicata al tema del riuso di antichità greche e romane in contesti post-antichi, dal Medioevo al Barocco. Una mostra a cura di Salvatore Settis e Anna Anguissola con Denise La Monica il cui progetto allestitivo è ideato da Rem Koolhaas/OMA.

La premessa di questa ricerca è la necessità di considerare il classico non solo come un’eredità del passato ma come un elemento vitale in grado di incidere sul nostro presente e futuro. Attraverso un innovativo approccio interpretativo e una modalità espositiva sperimentale, il patrimonio antico, e in particolare quello greco-romano, diventa, per usare le parole di Settis, “una chiave di accesso alla molteplicità delle culture del mondo contemporaneo”.
