The THOUGHT ABOUT US dedicated this year to "Thoughts of Alex Langer in Today's Reality"
Three lectures on Tuesdays April 14, April 28 and May 12 at 20.45.
Alex Langer was a politician, journalist and activist. Born in South Tyrol in 1946 and raised in a borderland, he made dialogue between cultures and language groups his main mission. His political vision combined environmentalism, social justice and nonviolence. He was convinced that ecological conversion was a moral as well as a political necessity. He advocated a model of development that was slower, sustainable and respectful of natural resources.
In the present time, marked by the resurgence of wars, climate change, ethnic and religious conflicts, Alex Langer's thought proves more relevant and necessary than ever.
