2026 Palio di Meda
The most eagerly awaited event of the year is back: the Palio di Meda 2026, which from September 5 to 13 brings the Brianza community together for nine intense days of competitions, folklore, religious ceremonies, and fellowship. Organized by the Palio di Meda Association and the Santo Crocifisso Meda Pastoral Community, under the patronage of the City of Meda (Department of Culture) and the Lombardy Regional Council, and with the support of BrianzAcque, the event reignites the rivalry among the town’s four historic districts: San Giuann, Bregoglio, Fameta, and Belgora.
Preparations in the districts get underway as early as late August with official rehearsals, culminating in a series of competitions that bring the city center to life. The competition includes a themed costume parade, theatrical performances, point-scoring games, and the famous toy car race, culminating in the crowning of the winning district.
