Vigevano Civic Art Gallery
The "Casimiro Ottone" Civic Art Gallery has been located at the Sforza Castle in Vigevano since 2003. It is named after Casimiro Ottone, a Vigevano painter from the early 20th century, also famous for restoring the frescoes of Vigevano’s Piazza Ducale. A whole room of the gallery is dedicated to Ottone. The historical frescoes, which are remnants of fresco decorations from churches and palaces (including the original decorative friezes of Piazza Ducale dating back to the late 15th century), testify to the development of the town of Vigevano, which, thanks to Ludovico il Moro’s wishes, became a privileged seat of the ducal court, elevated by its impressive and well-defended castle.

Opening hours
La Pinacoteca è all'interno del Castello Sforzesco di Vigevano. Provenendo dalla Piazza Ducale (scala) l'ingresso della Pinacoteca è in fondo a destra del cortile del Castello.
Da Martedì a Venerdì: 14 - 17.30
Sabato Domenica e festivi: 10 - 18
Per scuole e gruppi c'è la possibilità di visitare il Museo dal martedì al venerdì al mattino, previa prenotazione. Per prenotazioni: +390381 693 952
